WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) — The Highland Park parade shooter will now begin serving his life sentence.
Police confirmed Friday Robert Crimo III was transferred to Stateville Correctional Center in Crest Hill, Illinois after being sentenced Thursday.

Crimo admitted to being the perpetrator of the tragic mass shooting that occurred at the Highland Park Fourth of July parade in 2022, where he callously took the lives of seven individuals. As a consequence of his actions, he was sentenced to seven consecutive life terms for the seven counts of murder, along with further sentences for the attempted murder of the numerous individuals who sustained injuries during the horrific incident.
He has no chance of parole.
