Strictly Come Dancing viewers issued the same complaint as they claimed judge Anton Du Beke was “struggling” with his words.

The BBC hit dance competition returned on Saturday night as the four remaining celebrities took to the ballroom in hopes of impressing the judges.

Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe were the last couples remaining in the run to walk away with the Glitterball Trophy following Nigel Harman’s exit due to a medical injury.

Despite awarding the dance a nine, judge Anton labelled the performance “a little hard in places”. Whilst the harsh nature of comments such as those weren’t an issue for fans, it seems the way he delivered his remarks throughout the programme were.

Viewers rushed straight to Twitter and shared their reaction. One user asked: Can Anton start speaking in sentences please? It’s just a load of incoherent sounds. #strictly.

Elsewhere, head judge Shirley Ballas found herself on the receiving end of criticism over “baffling bias”. Shirley was full of praise for Bobby after his opening to the show: “Oh you didn’t let me down! What a way to open the semi-final.” She then turned to Anton and declared: “I must now strip you of your King of Ballroom title and give it to Bobby,” as the crowd applauded and Bobby bowed down in celebration.
