Who was Ava White ?
A 12-year-old girl died after suffering “catastrophic injuries” during an argument in the city center.
Ava White was with friends in Liverpool when she was assaulted at 20:40 GMT on Thursday.

Cause of Death
Merseyside police previously said she had been stabbed, but later said a post-mortem examination would be conducted to establish the cause of death.
Four teenagers, aged between 13 and 15, from Toxteth, have been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Officers found Ava collapsed to the ground in Church Alley, off Church Street.
A member of the public, who had witnessed the incident, was providing first aid, police said.
She was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital with serious injuries, but she died shortly after.
“We believe that Ava and her friends were involved in a verbal argument that culminated in Ava being assaulted and causing catastrophic injuries,” said Deputy Chief Jon Roy.
“And we understand that then offenders were seen running down School Lane through Hanover Street and then onto Fleet Street.”
Family
Police are now increasing patrols in the city center, while a cordon will remain in place.
Deputy Police Chief Jon Roy said: “Our thoughts and condolences go out to Ava’s family, who are being family liaison officers specializing in support.
“His world has been torn apart and no parent should have to face the knock on the door of police officers to say that her child is dead.”
Investigation
There is a police cordon while investigations continue into the death of the 12-year-old boy.
The four children, one 13, two 14 and one 15, remain in police custody for questioning.
There is a police cordon around Williamson Square, Tarleton Street, Church Street, Church Alley and School Lane, crossing Hanover Street to Fleet Street.
Roy added: “We will endeavor to release the scene as soon as possible in practice, but we will ask members of the public for their understanding and patience while our investigations are carried out so that we can bring justice to Ava and her family.” . . ”
Arrested
