Endrick made history as he scored in Brazil’s victory over England at Wembley on Saturday.

Dorival Junior named a rotated side for the friendly that included seven debutants with the 17-year-old striker on the substitutes bench.

Brazil had a number of chances to take the lead but were unable to in the early going, with the game goalless at the interval.

Shortly after being introduced the Real Madrid-bound wonderkid found himself on the scoresheet, capitalising on a rebound after Jordan Pickford saved Vinicius Jr’s initial effort.

In scoring the striker became the youngest player to net an international goal at the stadium

In doing so, at 17 years and 246 days Endrick became the youngest player to score at Wembley and the fourth-youngest in Brazil’s history behind only esteemed names such as Pele and Ronaldo.

England were ultimately unable to find an equaliser, putting an end to the impressive home run at the national stadium for Gareth Southgate’s side.

Prior to the clash with Brazil, the last time England had lost a game at Wembley was against Denmark in October 2020, when Saturday’s goalscorer was just 14-years-old.

Despite the loss, Southgate insisted England had been unfortunate: ‘There were lots of very good performances in a top-level game,’ he said. ‘We controlled long parts of it had as many attempts on goal. In the end it’s that ruthless moment that decides the game.’
