Tributes have been paid to the landlord of a Huddersfield pub following his sudden death.
Gary Brammall has been described as an ‘amazing’ landlord of The Scape House in Golcar. He is understood to have suddenly passed away and a tribute to him on the pub’s Facebook page has been flooded with hundreds of comments.
The tribute to the dad reads: “Hi All … RIP Gary .. I’m sure I speak for all the family, staff and certainly for myself… We can’t thank you all enough for sharing your amazing support, compassion and memories of a Man who worked hard for 7years at The Scapehouse. It is overwhelming to say the least … THANK YOU ALL”.

As a result, the pub in Golcar was closed to customers today. The pub have also said they will reopen when they feel “it’s the right time for the staff”.
Many members of the public have also paid tribute to Gary. One said: “So very sad. Much too young.. Was a lovely young man and courteous. Condolences to all the family”.
Another added: “Very sad news, he always made us feel very welcome at Scapehouse. Sending love to his family and friends”. Meanwhile, another person wrote: “Such shocking and saddening news. Thinking of all his family and friends. Rest in peace Gary”.
One person wrote: “So sorry to see this news.. our love and thoughts are with you all”. One more friend added: “I worked with gary at the Riverhead in marsden and also covered some days for him at the scape house so he could have a day out with his pooches , lovely guy full of fun with a wicked sense of humour . Gary is missed already .”
Finally, another person said: “So sad. Always so welcoming in the pub. Condolences to his family and his Scape family too. Hope his beloved dog is OK.”
