M1 car fire live as motorway shut northbound at Junction 32 for M18 after crash

There are currently long delays on the M1 northbound near Sheffield after a multi-vehicle crash.

South Yorkshire police have closed two lanes on the M1 Northbound from J32 M18 near Sheffield is following a serious multi-vehicle crash which has resulted in a car fire.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service are also at the scene on Saturday afternoon.

There are delays of 20 minutes and two miles of congestion on approach to the junction. Our travel partner, INRIX, said: “Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M1 Northbound at J32 M18.”
