She’s the Eurovision host that took the UK by storm and now Hannah Waddingham is dominating the Christmas adverts already with an appearance in Marks & Spencer’s latest commercial.
But the Ted Lasso star is also trending on BBC iPlayer, with fans working out why her appearance on the BBC Lee Mack sitcom from all the way back in 2011 is suddenly going viral.
Hannah Waddingham played a pornstar in an episode of the sitcom on BBC One and since the entire run of Not Going Out is now available on BBC iPlayer – all 13 series – it’s Hannah’s episode out of more than 78 on there that’s proving the most popular.

Hannah Waddingham fan account @weltonandwadds reported that Hannah’s episode is trending as she said: “Howling at the fact Hannah Waddingham’s episode of Not Going Out is the most watched on the BBC iPlayer.”
In the episode, Lee Mack’s character sets out to make a little money on the side by renting out his flat for filming. But things go awry in true sitcom fashion when Lee realises the director who’s hired the apartment is actually shooting a porn flick.

Hannah Waddingham is clad in lingerie and stars in eye-popping scenes wearing nothing but a pink and black bra and matching underwear, brandishing a PVC whip as she moans.
The racy appearance left very little to the imagination as Hannah, then 41, showed off her knockout figure, front and back.

The fan account quoted an explanation which said: “It is Hannah Waddingham’s single appearance on Not Going Out alongside Lee Mack that has captured fans’ attention. In series four, she appeared as porn star Jane Flangelove with sources confirming it has become the most popular episode of the series on the BBC’s catch up services.”

Of course, Hannah has had a hugely successful career before and since then, appearing on Footballer’s Wives back in the day, before turning out on Game Of Thrones (shame! shame!), and in the 2012 film of Les Miserables.
Hannah has also appeared in Brookside, Hollyoaks and My Family.
Not Going out Series 4 Episode 3: Movie is available to watch on BBC iPlayer, and so are the other 77 episodes.
