Thankfully there will be little disruption to bin collection dates in Barnsley over the festive period – so no more standing on top of your wheelie bin trying to fit everything in.
If your bin would normally be due for collection on Boxing Day, Tuesday December 26, it will be emptied on Saturday December 30 instead.
All other bin collection dates over the festive period are unchanged.

The council has advised residents to make sure they put their bin out at the kerbside before 6am on your collection day.
Residents can check bin collections dates for their postcode using Barnsley Council’s online checker.
And if your bins really are overflowing, Barnsley’s household waste recycling centres are open every day over the Christmas period except Christmas Day (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26) and New Year’s Day (January 1).
