The police are searching for a man in connection with a “serious” assault which took place in the York area of North Yorkshire.
According to North Yorkshire Police, the assault took place near Acaster Malbis in the York area at around 8pm on Friday, January 5. This took place near to the old airfield.
The police issued the photo of the man earlier this week as they believe he could have valuable information about the assault. They believe the man has links to Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh as well as Leeds.

However, he may have travelled elsewhere in the UK. They are asking the man in the picture, anyone who recognises him or anyone who many know where he is to get in contact. North Yorkshire Police said: “Detectives investigating a serious assault on a man near Acaster Malbis in the York area have renewed their appeal to trace a man they wish to speak to.
“The incident happened at around 8pm on the evening of Friday, January 5, near the old airfield. The victim was hit over the head during the attack and was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured eye socket.
Earlier this week, they issued an appeal for any motorists who were travelling along Airfield Lane between 7.45pm and 9pm on January 5 to get in contact. They said that anyone with any information should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for the Force Control Room.
