With Harmeet Dhillon, Trump Adds Another Stellar Pick to His Administration

President-elect Donald Trump continues to announce strong selections for his upcoming administration, demonstrating his focus on appointing qualified individuals to help him achieve his objectives. This indicates a shift towards a strategic approach for achieving success this time.

One of Trump’s recent appointments is attorney Harmeet Dhillon, the CEO of the Center for American Liberty and managing partner of the Dhillon Law Group. Dhillon has been chosen to serve as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice, highlighting the emphasis on selecting capable candidates.

Trump shared the announcement on Truth Social:

Congratulations, Harmeet!

Dhillon has a track record of advocating for civil liberties and was a contender for the RNC Chairmanship in January 2023, showcasing her commitment to the party. Despite her unsuccessful bid, Dhillon remains actively involved, including delivering a prayer at the Republican National Convention and spearheading efforts to ensure election integrity in Arizona’s November 5 election.

Even as I write this, members of her firm are in Alaska overseeing the recount on ranked-choice voting.

Following Trump’s announcement, Dhillon expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and for the support of her loved ones on X:

@PamBondi. I cannot wait to get to work!

I would not be here today without my amazing mother and brother’s support, and my beloved father Tejpal and husband Sarv, who did not live to see this day. I hope I will honor their memories, with God’s grace.

Those of us who’ve followed Dhillon’s career and many successes are eager to see that carry over into the DOJ’s Civil Rights division.
