NFL Draft season is getting started for the teams not still alive in the playoffs, and the NFL world will descend upon Mobile, Ala., next week for the Senior Bowl.

The week in Mobile always feels like the official start of NFL Draft season. This will be Joe Douglas’ fifth draft as Jets general manager.

His batting average looks something like this: one bad class (2020), one OK class (2021), one terrific class (2022) and one that is incomplete (2023).

This is not as dramatic a year in the draft as 2021, when he was drafting a quarterback, or 2022, when he had two first-round picks.
