The NFC East is, to everyone’s surprise, the best division in the entire NFL. Just two years ago, the Washington Commanders made the playoffs with a losing record, and today, the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys would be in the playoffs.

Eagles, Giants and Cowboys in playoffs?

Eagles, Giants and Cowboys have winning records. Philadelphia (6-0) is the only undefeated team in the NFL, and meanwhile, the Big Blue is one of the most pleasant surprises in all of professional football, as New York has six wins to one loss, its only loss coming against Dallas, while “America’s Team” is 5-2, occupying third place.

The Lone Star team has lost a couple of times, the first time in the opener to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and in Week 6 of the season, they lost to the Eagles in Cooper Rush‘s last duel as starting QB for the five-time Super Bowl-winning franchise.

NFC East dominates as in the past

The division made up of the Cowboys (5), Giants (4), Commanders (3) and Eagles (1), is the only one in which all its members have won the Vince Lombardi Trophy at least once, and its 13 Super Bowl titles is the highest combined total in NFL history.

To top it off, the Commanders, with a 3-4 record, are on their best run of the year with two consecutive wins, and now with Taylor Heinecke at the controls, it appears that the Washington franchise’s situation may improve substantially.

At the beginning of the season there was some hope that one or two teams in the NFC East would have winning records, but with almost half the season behind them, it is quite a surprise that three teams have very respectable records and that the Eagles, Giants and Cowboys are the teams that would make the playoffs if the regular schedule ended today.
