The New York Jets (5-2) are off to an excellent start to the 2022 NFL season, defeating the Denver Broncos on Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High.

Rookie running back Breece Hall, however, left the field with what head coach Robert Saleh said is likely an ACL injury.

Hall, 21, scored his fifth touchdown of the season to open the score in the first quarter.

He was helped off the field in the second frame after getting tackled by multiple players, finishing the game with 72 rushing yards on four carries.

The win over Denver gives New York its best start to a season in over a decade. Last time the Jets started a season with a 5-2 record was in 2010.

Zach Wilson is underwhelming as Russell Wilson misses game

Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was underwhelming as Broncos QB Russell Wilson missed the game due to a hamstring injury.

Wilson, 23, finished the game with just 121 yards and zero touchdown passes on 16-for-26 completions.

Besides Hall, New York also lost wide receiver Corey Davis (knee) and right tackle Alijah Vera-Tucker (elbow) to injury.

Jets host the New England Patriots next Sunday as Broncos visit the Jacksonville Jaguars.
