Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has had to accept many changes in his life recently, from his recent divorce with Brazilian top model Gisele Bündchen, to the fact that we could be in the presence of the first time that the 45-year-old legendary player loses more games than he wins in a season.

But beyond those issues, there are perhaps not obvious, but important changes in the personality of the seven-time Super Bowl winner, from not taking a shower after a loss like the one he suffered to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday by a humiliating score of 35-7 to the rare gesture of signing the ball to an opponent who had intercepted him in the third quarter.

Has Tom Brady lost his obsession with winning?

TB12 is known to be an even to obsessive competitor and even in his own words, not the most sportsmanlike, yet he himself said he wanted to make a change when he explained the decision to accede to 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw‘s request during his latest appearance on the Let’s Go! podcast game on co-host Jim Gray.

“It was s— for me, it was complete s—,” Brady said. “But I try to be a gentleman. No, actually, I mean, look, it was a great play he made. I’m happy he’s got the ball. I wish I didn’t throw it but I’m trying to be a good sport. Because a lot of times, I’m not a good sport. I can be a pretty bad sport. In the moment when they get me in the right frame of mind, I’m actually a good sport.”

Greenlaw managed to catch one of the two interceptions Brady threw during the game and surely, while painful, the former New England Patriots quarterback, at this point in his career, must appreciate the fact that even rivals recognize him for all his greatness.
