Las Vegas police spearheaded a sting operation targeting child sex predators in early December, ultimately arresting eight men.
According to KLAS, the men are accused of using a computer to entice a minor into sexual activities. One of them faces an additional charge for allegedly attempting to involve a minor in creating pornography.
The suspects who have been identified are David Bryant, 27; Shawn Carter, 39; Dominique Davis, 43; Marvin Farfan, 23; Deangelo Kind, 31; Christopher Miller, 35; and Matthew Webb, 57. They were taken into custody on December 5 and 6, with Webb being the individual charged with the pornography offense.
The Las Vegas Police disclosed that multiple law enforcement agencies collaborated during the two-day operation. These entities include the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, Homeland Security, the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, and the police departments of Las Vegas Metropolitan, North Las Vegas, and Henderson.
Six of the men posted bail and are due back in court in January. Kind is being held without bail because of a suspended sentence in an unrelated case.
