In Florida, a man was recently taken into custody following a dispute over a designated parking spot for individuals with disabilities at a local church that escalated into a physical altercation with a woman, as reported by authorities in the state where the sun always shines.

The individual in question, John Phillips, aged 65, is facing allegations including causing serious bodily harm through aggravated battery, mistreatment of an elderly person, and restraining the victims unlawfully as stated in court documents from Orange County.

The defendant was arrested on Feb. 10, after a lengthy investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred on Sept. 25, 2024, just outside the St. John Vianney Catholic Church on South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando.
