She has a history of standing her ground and showing no tolerance for disrespect, a trait she displayed once again recently. Specifically, she called out Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for his insensitive remarks regarding the recent Toronto jet crash, which luckily resulted in no fatalities.
It’s Trump’s fault, the clueless septuagenarian senator who has haunted the halls of Congress for almost three decades opined on social media:
To those asking whether it matters that the plane’s destination was in Canada:
The flight originated from Minneapolis, with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) overseeing the inspection of aviation equipment, a responsibility that President Trump had recently removed from FAA safety specialists. https://t.co/uCpjHtqLnd

Schumer’s comments were inappropriate for several reasons. To begin with, the accident occurred just the day before his statement, and investigations are still ongoing. It appears that the crash was not caused by air traffic controllers, but rather by the plane landing too forcefully and failing to flare properly upon impact, as highlighted by RedState’s Bonchie. Regardless, the complete facts are not yet known, making it unjust to suggest that a newly inaugurated U.S. president bears responsibility for an aviation incident abroad.
Leavitt let him have it during an interview on Fox News’ “America Reports” Tuesday:
“It’s incredibly irresponsible for Chuck Schumer to say such a thing when the investigation is still underway,” Leavitt said.
Leavitt repeatedly pushed back against the senator and dissected his claims. She began by noting that Canadian air-traffic controllers were responsible for directing the plane at the time of the crash.
Watch:
Karoline Leavitt just delivered a slam dunk fact-check on Chuck Schumer for blaming the Delta plane crash that took place in CANADA, under Canadian Air traffic control, on Trump.
