The drama surrounding Kevin Durant and his future with the Brooklyn Nets continues, with a new team now in the mix to land his services.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports the Memphis Grizzlies are ready to make a push for the two-time NBA champion.

Durant-Morant would be a lethal duo

Although the two teams have yet to hold talks, Charania reports Memphis are working on a package for the Nets forward.

What is clear is that the Grizzlies aren’t willing to include Jaren Jackson Jr or Desmond Bane in a possible deal.

As for what Memphis are willing to part with, they are hoping five first-round picks will be enough to land Durant, who has remained silent since word of his trade demand become public.

Memphis are coming off a successful season in which they finished 56-26, good enough to earn them the second seed in the Western Conference.

Unfortunately for the Grizzlies and Morant, they fell to the eventual NBA champions Golden State Warriors in six games in the Conference semi-finals.
