Three years after Antony Joshua‘s fight with Jarrell Miller was cancelled, the latter’s promoter has urged the 32-year-old boxer to schedule a bout with his client.

The two men were set to face each other on June 1, 2019, at Madison Square Garden, but the bout was called off because Miller didn’t receive a licence by the New York State’s Athletic Commission after failing a drugs test.

Now, Miller’s promoter Dmitriy Salita has expressed his desire to see his client take on Joshua after the latter’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

“If Anthony Joshua loses, he said he wants to fight in December whatever happens,” Salita told i.

“If he wins, he’s going to fight Tyson Fury, that’s a huge fight as a boxing fan that has to happen.

“But if he doesn’t win, he has some unfinished business with Jarrell Miller.

“Jarrell’s had two wins, he’s going to fight again.

“That’s a fight I would love to happen, I know [Joshua’s promoter] Eddie [Hearn] said he doesn’t want it to happen but I do believe it makes a lot of sense.

“It would get a lot of interest certainly and Jarrell will come to the UK for sure to avenge that mishap that happened in June 2019.”
