A popular foodie has taken on a frozen honey trend with surprising results but says she could only handle one bite of the sweet treat.
Ayeh Farr, the Sydney-based foodie behind the page Cooking with Ayeh on Instagram, wanted to see what the hype was about concerning the viral trend.
‘I love honey and can eat it with a spoon so I couldn’t resist,’ she told her 349k followers on Wednesday.

‘It’s basically just honey placed in the freezer upside down for eight hours and voila,’ she said.
But despite her love for the condiment she admitted she could only get through one bite of the sweet frozen treat.
In the video the young woman shared she is seen taking the lid off the bottle of honey.
The sticky treat stretched up as she removed the lid, after becoming thicker in the freezer.
Ayeh the squeezes the bottled and takes a bite of the honey before smiling for the camera.
And her fans were excited by the experiment despite not being convinced by it.
‘I am just not too sure about this one,’ one woman wrote.
‘It’s basically just honey placed in the freezer upside down for eight hours and voila,’ she said
‘Maybe add a sprinkle of sea salt,’ added another hoping the flavour would balance out the sweetness.
Others just said the video was ‘super weird’.
But one Canadian fan was reminded of home.
‘Interestingly this is a very similar concept of a sweet that we produce through maple syrup in Canada. With our freezing winter, we pour steamed maple syrup onto snow and voilà,’ the woman said.

‘As far as I know honey can’t freeze,’ one man said.
‘It doesn’t freeze, it becomes like candy,’ Ayeh responded.
