Jim Seals, a famous duo from the 1970s, passed away at 79.
Jim Seals, 1/2 of the soft-rock duo Seals & Crofts, died on Monday. He had a couple of hits, such as t “Summer Breeze” and “Diamond Girl,” He was a resident of Nashville.
He is survived by His wife, Ruby Jean Seals. She revealed the news about her husband. He died due to his long illness.
Mr. Seals and his musical companion, Dash Crofts, started working very young.
They were sick of the band. They wanted to make a soothing brand of music, combining folk, country music, and rhythm and blues impacts and supplying their verses in harmony.
In a quick perusal of their previous album, “Down Home,” “Jim Seals performs acoustic guitar and fiddle; it was a blend of beautiful melody.
“At the airport, there were kids waiting for us.” We had a record crowd that night, perhaps 40,000 people. And I recall people throwing their hats and coats as far as the eye could see against the moon.”
“Summer breeze makes me feel good, / Blowing through the jasmine in my head.”
Brady Seals, the singer’s cousin, affirmed the musician’s passing on social media.
“I just found out that James ‘Jimmy’ Seals passed away,” Brady Seals wrote. “My heart goes out to his wife Ruby and their children.” Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. What an incredible legacy he has left.”
