Live results of boxing have been announced. There was a fan-friendly fight between Miguel Contreras and Hector Tanaraja, but they did not settle for less than an eight-round lightweight fight. They fought till the eight-round split draw.

Contreras and Tanaraja broke down as the boxers knew the fight was close on scoreboards as the eighth round was supposed to begin. They almost fought red hands, but then also no boxer was hurt. However, Tanaraja came out aggressively at the start of the third round. Within 15 seconds, Tanaraja was warned for hitting Contreras at the back of the head. Edward Collantes, the referee, stopped their fight for 38 seconds in the second round. As the six-round started, a counter right hand by Balderas was sent to Mesquita on one knee. Before the easy victory of Balderas, Javier Martinez had to suffer a knock-down at the third round.

Martnez is left-handed, and mostly he out-worked Stubbs. During the sixth round, Stubbs showed stiffness. Martinez was very positive about the power he had, and he threw powerful punches at Stubbs; due to this, a cut developed beneath the left eye of Stubbs. The right-left combination of Martinez affected Stubbs away too much, and he met his head hit hard, and for the rest of the third round, his body was blowing. Stubbs landed on a straight right head of Martinez, and he reached his feet quickly. Martinez drilled Stubbs within the last round with a hard right to his body.
