Markeith Loyd has been sentenced to death by a judge in the case of the murder of Debra Clayton, who is Orlando Police lieutenant. The jury already has recommended death for Markeith Loyd, but the judge made the final decision on Thursday morning.

Markeith Loyd was found guilty of murder in the case of the death of Debra Clayton. More than five years ago, Markeith Loyd also killed his pregnant ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon, and now he murdered Clayton after a month. He has taken two major trials and has been involved in countless court hearings. Now finally, Clayton’s family is thankful for it is over now. Now she can rest in peace as the culprit is arrested. When this statement was delivered, both Orange County Sheriff John Mina and Orlando police chief Orlando Rolon were supposed to make a point in the courtroom.

After five years, the Clayton family has finally heard a sigh of relief as it has been more than five years since Markeith killed Clayton. The law enforcement officers filled the courthouse with their friends the last night when they were gunned down. Loyd is present in the orange jail and is waiting for his transfer to prison. The legacy of Clayton will always remain in the hearts of people. Markeith Loyd was put on five charges.
The first was of court records show. The second included the first-degree murder of a police officer, the third was aggravated assault, the fourth was carjacking with a firearm, and the fifth was possession by a convicted felon. And in October, Loyd was convicted with many charges.
Debra Clayton’s sacrifice to the Orlando police department and the city of Orlando can never be forgotten. But this will bring solace to the community as the murderer will now be given the highest penalty as provided by the law. At her death, Clayton was the master sergeant at the Orlando police department and was promoted to lieutenant. She impacted a lot on the lives of the people of Orlando, and she will always be remembered in people’s hearts. The police are now really happy for Clayton’s family to go to justice as it was hard the past five years.
