Who was Sean Casten? What has happened to him?
There is death news of Sean Casten’s daughter all over the internet. The school teacher took the social media to express her grief over the death of young student Gwen Casten.
Gwen Casten, the daughter of Illinois Rep. Sean Casten, said, “There are no words that can begin to explain the grief we are suffering.”
Sean has been in the headlines since his death was announced.
“Congressman Casten’s loving daughter, Gwen (17), passed suddenly this morning,” stated a post from the Democrat, elected in 2018. “The Casten family has requested privacy at this difficult time, and we will make no additional statements.”
However, Casten and his family did not reveal any details causing her death. According to the police, they found her dead in her local area.
“for an unresponsive seventeen-year-old female,” were “first responders determined that the subject was deceased.”
Gwen completed her schooling this summer and was set to go to university soon. She aspired to study environmental science.
“My heart aches for the Casten family after their daughter’s tragic death. Sean, Kara, and the entire Casten family are in my thoughts and prayers,” Newman stated.
“There are a lot of milestones,” Gwen said in the advertisement. “It’s as if you’re voting for the first time. But not just for anyone … Sean Casten. My Congressman. But I refer to him as “Dad.”
Her schoolmates posted on social media, stating that she was a pure soul who believed in kindness and teamwork. She was a cheerful young girl who had inspired her schoolmates with her behavior and achievements.
“Gwen was a friend and a leader… She was a standout student at North, participating in various extracurricular organizations such as Changemakers, music, NHS, math team, and tennis while maintaining a high honor roll. Gwen and her father, @repseancasten, understood the necessity of environmental protection and the risks that would arise if we continued to pollute our planet.”
