Rashard Guinyard was a pro athlete and a high school student. He has finished his formal education. After graduating, he was all ready to go to college.
However, he was shot and died over the weekend. Nevertheless, the promising student received an athletic scholarship and aspired to attend Abilene Christian University.
When he announced his plans to attend ACU, his family was overjoyed. They dreamed of their son becoming a college graduate. It was one of the happiest days for the Guinyard family. His family describes him as a popular and lovely young guy.
Rashard Guinyard, 17, was Kimberly Howard’s only son, and she is heartbroken. During an after-prom party in southwest Fort Worth, he was shot and died early Sunday morning.
“He was leaving the party to make curfew… because he had a curfew,” his mother told the sources.
The brilliant student was expecting his scholarship letter next month. But instead, his family counted the days until he arrived at ACU on a dual-track and academic scholarship in a month.
“’Mom, I’m about to go have a good time with them because they are going to have a good time with me next Saturday for my prom,’” Howard remembered Guinyward telling her things.

The investigators were called to the scene at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, as Fort Worth police received a complaint regarding a shooting at a strip mall parking lot on Altamesa Boulevard amid a huge crowd.
When the medical team arrived, Guinyard was announced dead as he had suffered blood loss.
There is no clarification what was the motive behind the crime. However, another man was shot multiple times, according to police, and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators aren’t sure who started the shooting, but the victim’s parents claim their vivacious and dutiful son could never initiate a fight. “He’s always the life of the party. He’s got a wonderful smile,”
“His words were, ‘Mom, I want to be like God.’ He said, ‘I want to be able to put people to sleep and wake them up,’”
The police are struggling to identify who was entangled in the shooting and who was just a witness.
