One of the most important and simply best sports movies of all time is A League of Their Own, in which director Penny Marshall chronicles the formation of the first all-female professional baseball league during World War II. Considering how relevant its historical topic is these days, it is not surprising, yet it certainly is exciting, to see it reimagined into a Prime Video original series three decades later.
