The Brownlow Medalist was all smiles after landing the “barrel” fish off the Victorian coast, posting on social media to celebrate the prize. Dangerfield is a keen angler and co-hosts a fishing podcast with good mate and “self-confessed fishing nut” Aaron Habgood. It was just the second time Dangerfield had taken his new Northbank boat out for a cast with Geelong assistant coach, triple-premiership player Nigel Lappin, and Habgood joining him for the adventure. “3 premierships and a 135kg Southern Bluefin Tuna between us,” Dangerfield posted after posing up with Habgood and the catch. “Not a bad way to christen the boat!” Salt Guide fishing page posted.
