Rose Hollermann is an American 3.5 point Wheelchair basketball player who won gold at the 2011 Women’s U25 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship in St.Catharines, Canada.

She is also the youngest player on the US women’s team that won gold at the Rio 2016 Paralympics games.

Rose competed on the US team at London 2012 at just 16 years old, experiencing the heartbreak of just missing the podium.

In 2001, Rose, her mum, and three brothers were involved in a car accident that left her partially paralyzed from the waist down.

This incident also took the lives of two of her brothers outside their home in Elysian, Minnesota. 

During her rehab, she was introduced to various Parasports, but Wheelchair Basketball was the sport that stuck.

Rose can stand, and walk a little, but spends much of her time in a wheelchair.
