In 2016, Gypsy Rose Blanchard was sentenced to 10 years in prison for her involvement in the 2015 murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Gypsy suffered years of abuse at the hands of Dee Dee, who was believed to have had Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSP). This mental disorder caused Dee Dee to lie about Gypsy’s age and fabricate her daughter’s various medical issues. Dee Dee kept Gypsy very isolated and heavily medicated.

Roughly eight years into her sentence, Gypsy was released early on parole in December 2023. She’s now ready to tell all about Dee Dee, the murder and her life in prison in an eBook and a Lifetime docuseries called The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

Keep scrolling to see the biggest bombshell quotes from the docuseries.
