Film Independent has unveiled its nominations for the 2022 Independent Spirit Awards.

The nominations were revealed via a video announcement featuring Beanie Feldstein, Regina Hall and Naomi Watts.

The independent awards ceremony, which had been traditionally held the Saturday before the Oscars and last year was a virtual ceremony (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) that aired three days before the Oscars, is moving even earlier, with the 2022 ceremony set to take place on March 6, just as the final round of Oscar voting begins. The ceremony will return to its traditional Santa Monica beach venue and be an in-person event, it was revealed Tuesday morning.
