The next television series from Moving writer Kang Full has landed at Disney+.

Light Shop, a mystery drama “that explores life, death, and what makes us human” is set to debut on the streamer in the second half of 2024.

The series is an adaptation of Kang’s popular webtoon of the same name, and tells the story of a group of strangers, each struggling to come to terms with a traumatic event in their past. Going about their daily lives, each individual is mysteriously drawn to a light shop that sits at the end of a seedy alleyway. Guarded by a vigilant shopkeeper, the light shop could hold the key to the strangers’ pasts, presents and futures.

Light Shop will star Bae Seong-woo, Ju Ji-hoon, Park Bo-young and Lee Jung-eun, and is directed by Kim Hee-won.

Kang, an influential artist and writer, is best known outside Korea for the breakout international hit Disney+ series Moving, an action-packed drama about teens discovering they have superpowers. Released on Aug. 9, 2023, Moving became Disney+ and Hulu’s most-watched K-drama ever — in the U.S. and globally — within just seven days of release.

Disney+ launched in South Korea in November 2021 and has steadily ramped up its local content output to tap into the surging global popularity of K-drama.
