Lisa Kudrow has remembered her late co-star and longtime friend Matthew Perry in a touching Instagram post, celebrating his humor, dedication to work and “open heart.”

The Friends star shared her message in an Instagram post featuring a blurry Polaroid of the duo, stamped with the NBC logo. Kudrow reminisced about their time filming the hit show’s pilot before going on to thank him for the 10 years they shared together on the series.

“Shot the pilot, Friends Like Us, got picked up then immediately, we were at the NBC Upfronts,” Kudrow recalled. “Then… You suggested we play poker AND made it so much fun while we initially bonded. Thank you for that.”

She goes on to thank him for a host of other things, including “for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY,” as well as for trusting her alongside the lessons he offered “about GRACE and LOVE through knowing you.”

“Thank you for your open heart in a six way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of ‘talking,’” she continued, speaking to their professional relationship. “Thank you for showing up at work when you weren’t well and then, being completely brilliant.”

“Thank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have,” she concluded. “Thank you for the time I got to have with you, Matthew.”
