Where is Little People, Big World filmed? Before TLC camera crews moved in, Helvetia, Oregon, was just a dot on a map to many people. But now that the Roloff family are bona fide reality stars, this community of 54,170 has become a tourist destination thanks to Roloff Farms.
Helvetia is where Matt Roloff and his ex-wife, Amy Roloff, settled down to raise their family after Matt started his computing career in Silicon Valley. When a friend urged him to take a job at Sequent Systems in Beaverton, Oregon, Matt bought the 34-acre Helvetia property that is now his family’s homestead and tourist attraction.
As the Roloff Farms website states, Helvetia is an unincorporated community located about 30 miles west of Portland, Oregon, and just north of the town of Hillsboro. Roloff Farms has since grown to 110 acres, and the family has turned the property into a pumpkin patch and an amusement park based on the “unique structures” built as a “utopian playland” for their kids Zach Roloff, Jeremy Roloff, Molly Roloff, and Jacob Roloff. The family welcomes 30,000 visitors to the property every year, and the busiest time of year is October, when the farm is open to the public for pumpkin picking and other fun fall activities.
In addition, Roloff Farms has also be the backdrop for most of the major Roloff family milestones. Jeremy married his wife, Audrey Roloff, on the farm in September 2014. The following July, Zach wed Tori Roloff on the family’s property. Molly Roloff tied the knot with her husband, Joel Silvius, on Roloff Farms in August 2017. Youngest Roloff son Jacob Roloff got married to Isabel Rock, on the farm in September 2019.
The latest Roloff family member to have a wedding on the farm is Amy. The matriarch moved on with Chris Marek after her divorce from Matt was finalized in 2016 and the couple tied the knot in August 2021. While Amy and Matt were not on the best of terms after their split, they have recently gotten to a good place in their relationship — so much that Matt not only offered the farm as the venue for their nuptials, but Matt even built a new barn for the ceremony and let Amy choose which wildflowers to plant around the new structure.
