Who was Tina Tintor ?
Friends of Tina Tintor shared more about her life with Now after she died in a fiery accident involving former Raider Henry Ruggs III on Tuesday.
“He’s brilliant, he’s smart, he’s smart,” Tina’s childhood friend Bojana Filipovic said of her. “She is very charismatic.”
Filipovic said she was with the 23-year-old shortly before the collision, adding that the two were returning home from a night walk with Tina’s dog, who also died in the accident.
“Her mother called me crying,” remembers Filipovic. “Like ‘hey, can you check if that’s her car?’ She wasn’t coming home.”
It’s an outcome she could never have imagined, and the police are now shedding light on what led up to the accident.
Investigation
Investigators said Ruggs was traveling 156 miles per hour before crashing into Tina’s truck, citing his blood alcohol level at 0.161, which is double the legal limit.

Team describe Ruggs as uncooperative and incoherent in the hospital; yelling, slurring, and trying to get an IV out of his arm.
Now, as Bojana tries to move forward, she said that she will always remember Tina’s light.
“She has always wanted the good for everyone,” Filipovic said of her friend.
He added that the bond they shared will last forever.
“I love you very much,” he concluded speaking with Tina. “I’m sorry I couldn’t say goodbye.”
Bojana told 8 News Now that Tina immigrated to the United States from Serbia when she was around five years old.
She said Tina loved animals, graduated from Durango high school, and hoped to enter the field of computer programming.
Death
Tintor left her friend at home and was about a mile from her home when police said Henry Ruggs III sped down Rainbow Boulevard at 156 mph in his Corvette. The car collided with Tintor’s Toyota Rav4 and sent both cars more than 500 feet down the road.
The Rav4 caught fire with Tintor and her dog Maxi hers still inside. None survived.
“Her mom would call me crying like, ‘Hey, can you check if that’s her car? She wasn’t coming home. She was supposed to get up at 7am to run errands, but she never came home with her dog.’ . Filipovic recalled.

Education
The 23-year-old, who graduated from Durango High School, was described by her friend as bright, intelligent and extremely charismatic. Filipovic said that she planned to dedicate herself to computer programming.
“She would give you a shoulder to lean on, and she will always slap you if you do something wrong,” Filipovic said with a laugh. “I love you so much. I wish I could say goodbye and see you in the next life.”
