Even though Britney Spears isn’t planning to bare all for her fans in any formal capacity … accidents happen.
And that’s what went down for Britney over the weekend.
Britney was on the move, and made a pit stop in Mexico.
There, a slight wardrobe malfunction nearly had her spilling out of her top.
Whoops!
Britney Spears stopped by Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Sunday and did a little partying there. Fun!
In the process, numerous eyewitnesses at Baia Diablo saw one of the sleeves on her bold red dress slip. And, in the process, one of her breasts very nearly popped out.
At the time, Britney continued to party. She did adjust her dress to prevent a wardrobe catastrophe.
(With the obvious disclaimer that bare breasts have been fashion norms in some, more sensible cultures. And acknowledging that people are so negative about boobs because of our culture’s sex-negative brainrot and misogyny)
If she were an ordinary person and not one of the most talented, most famous people from the last quarter of a century, it would have just been a fun yet unremarkable night out.
Unfortunately, even though Britney is no stranger to the perpetual panopticon of being a public figure, it still gets to her sometimes.
“I’m embarrassed as hell!” Britney expressed on Instagram. “Like a lost idiot I heard music and horns from my car!”
She characterized: “I walked in like a deer in headlights and had no idea I was being recorded from all sides!”
Britney reminded everyone: “I’m only human and I have no idea what the hell is going on with my hair.”
“But,” she explained, “I made a pit stop in Mexico!”
And, Britney shared, this would not be the end of her international travels.
“I’m headed to Italy now to grab my favorite spaghetti and meat BALLS!” Britney announced.
While few of us can relate to the idea of traveling across the Atlantic ocean for a pasta dish, that does sound appetizing! (And many of us would if we could. I had the best ravioli of my life in Florence)
“I know the owner there,” Britney noted, joking: “So hopefully he can get me in through the back door.” On second though, maybe she wasn’t joking — that might be necessary.
Unfortunately, the pathological obsession that people have with catching Britney outside at her “worst” (so, a total knockout, but with a sleeve riding down) is nothing new.
The fixation with her hair, specifically, is what led to her shaving her head all of those years ago.
Britney’s amazing and gorgeous. We’re sure that most of the people who saw her were more interested in her being there than they were in her near-nip-slip.
