The bloom is off for Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green.

Late on Wednesday, we learned that the Southern Charm cast members had split after two years of dating… an outcome that doesn’t come as a major shock to anyone who has been watching their journey.

In the end?

The problem came down to an issue of Rose not wanting to sleep with just one woman.

Shep Rose and Taylor Ann Green are over! They lasted for two years as a couple.

“Shep has a real issue with monogamy and refused to commit to Taylor, telling her that he doesn’t want to be with just one person and change his lifestyle,” a source hilariously told People Magazine.

“She’s incredibly hurt.

“But she knows that she deserves a guy who will fight for her, not one who is so selfish.

“He’ll regret this.”

The Southern Charm star and Green first ignited dating rumors in March 2020, nearly two months before they made their connection Instagram official.

The clinical assistant joined the Bravo reality show for Seasons 7 and 8 amid her romance with Rose.

But things always seemed a little off.

“I think that the unfortunate thing with them is that Taylor loves Shep more than Shep loves Taylor,” cast member Venita Aspen told Us Weekly just a few weeks ago.

“And, like, you should never be with a man that doesn’t love you as much as you love him.”

Heck, on last season’s reunion special, Rose admitted he had been unfaithful to Green, telling host Andy Cohen “there was some text messages” between him and another woman.

“It was an old flame,” he explained, adding:

“And I kissed a girl in a stairwell, but that’s all it was.”

Earlier this season, meanwhile, Rose and Green engaged in an intense discussion after the former reacted with apparent glee to a pregnancy scare.

“You’re gonna high five to my pain and misery?” Taylor asked Shep.

“You didn’t even ask how I felt. You just thought, like, ‘Oh, no, there was a scare. What am I gonna do?’ Like, you haven’t ever really said, ‘If you things were to ever happen, you can trust in me.’

Rose didn’t seem too affected by the ordeal.

“I don’t want to have kids right now. But we don’t use protection,” the selfish imbecile told friend Austen Kroll during the episode.

“I don’t know what I want. Almost two years and I’m happy. My life is really good and she’s a big, big part of that.”

Green went on to tell Rose at the time that she doesn’t consider him to be “a safe bet,” pointing to the fact that he’d told her that he “doesn’t want to get married and settle down.”

At least he’s honest, we suppose, right?

“If I was pregnant, I would want the rightful steps to be taken, which would be marriage,” Green said in confessional.

“But I don’t know how much he would step up to the bat, which is really s—ty.”

Rose for his part did not offer Green much comfort.

“The minute you tell me I need to do something a certain way, I will do the exact opposite … but I want you,” he said, adding that if Green did want a more formal commitment, the two could “cross that bridge when we come to it.”

What a charmer.

We’re quite certain you can do better for yourself, Taylor.
