A man who ate KFC for a month straight says he gained more weight drinking alcohol in seven days than eating fried chicken.

Conan Visser is the founder of ICANIWILL, an organisation using celebrities and influencers to promote mental health, and has been conducting a series of experiments on his own body to test weight and health impacts.

Last month he only ate food from the popular fast-food chain, gaining a kilo every three and a half days.

He has now cut KFC out and is now drinking every day for a month, but in just seven days has already gained three kilos – a 30 per cent increase over fried chicken in just a week.

‘I am struggling today. My body is really starting to hurt,’ he posted to his TikTok page.

Visser, who has nearly 82,000 followers on TikTok and 10,000 on Instagram, had been posting daily diaries during the KFC challenge updating his audience on the results.

After a month of eating nothing but fried chicken and other foods from the chain, Visser had gained about 10 kilos and lost a significant amount of definition.

He then did a 16-day water fast to cleanse his body following the month of KFC, an idea he got from an ordeal he once had with a stomach parasite.

‘I got into fasting because I had a stomach parasite, that parasite I went for three courses of antibiotics that took three months each – so a full year,’ he said.

‘I did a 10-day fast, it fixed the parasite. Halle Berry does it, Kelly Slater does it.’

After three weeks on the KFC-only diet,  he found himself de-motivated, wanting to just stay sitting on the couch and not train as much.

He said at the conclusion of the month he had kidney damage and was forced to get a CT scan from stomach pains suffered from the diet.

Visser then took off with the month of being an alcoholic, combined with a keto diet and consistent training.

He’s been having a minimum eight and 12 standard drinks per day every day, saying he is already feeling the impacts on his training.

On more explosive days he’s had more than 20 standard drinks, attempting to manage the hangovers with a series of natural remedies.

‘I am putting on more weight than I did with the KFC. It’s been only a week and I’ve already put on three kilos,’ he said.

‘Apparently when you’re drinking alcohol the liver puts all of its time and attention into processing alcohol, then you store fat faster from all the foods you eat.

‘I can feel my body and my mind really starting to struggle.’

After eight days he was starting to have fevers and again sought medical advice, saying he ‘can’t remember the last time I felt like this.’

‘My body is hating me right now.’

Visser said after nine days of drinking his sexual drive was ‘through the roof’ and his ‘performance was really good’, the opposite effect to the month of KFC.

‘No wonder I drink more when I first start dating someone,’ he said.

‘It’s exciting, it’s adventurous, you want to take risks.’

He is currently on day 10 of his month of alcohol.
