Jeremy Beloate and his coach Snoop Dogg collaborated on a performance of Otis Redding’s ‘(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay’ before the final results were revealed.
Representing Northeast Ohio, Baldwin Wallace University graduate Jeremy Beloate competed in the finals of “The Voice” on NBC’s WKYC.
Despite making it to the finals after weeks of intense competition, Beloate fell short and finished in fifth place in Season 26.
During the blind auditions, Beloate earned a four-chair turn from coaches Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg.
The Memphis, Tennessee, native initially chose Bublé as his coach, but was later “saved” by Snoop Dog in the battle rounds.
During episode one of the finale, which aired Monday night, Beloate performed “What the World Needs Now is Love” by Jackie DeShannon.
Then on Tuesday, he and Snoop teamed up for a stirring rendition of Otis Redding’s classic “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay.”
“Currently pursuing his musical dreams in New York, Jeremy has become the king of odd jobs, but he recently shifted his focus to performing more. He even recently landed a starring role in a new musical written and directed by Todrick Hall,” said NBC in Beloate’s bio.
Sofronio Vasquez, of Team Bublé, was named the winner and secured both a recording contract and $100,000.
