TikToker Giuseppe D’Anna, 19, and his girlfriend, 76, took the internet by storm after videos of their relationship went viral. Gaining millions of views and comments, D’Anna’s clips are a topic of interest that has dumbfounded many netizens. 

The content features the couple on different occasions, always smiling and looking in love. However, their romance has not pleased everyone, and the 57-year age difference has led to severe backlash. 

Despite the harsh and often nasty commentary, the couple seemed unperturbed. Amid the compilations of romantic photos and displays of affection, D’Anna featured a special announcement on his page in 2022.

THEY TOOK THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO THE NEXT LEVEL

D’Anna was excited to make a big announcement, and his clip garnered millions of views. In the video, he revealed that he had proposed to his beaming pensioner girlfriend.

The youngster called their love “beautiful” and was proud to share the proposal online with his more than 300,000 TikTok followers.

In a series of photos, D’Anna could be seen going down on his right knee, holding giant heart-shaped balloons, and then kissing his bride-to-be. The clip was captioned: “La nostra promessa,” which translated to “our promise” in English.

The photos showcased the swooning couple taking a selfie as the woman held a red rose. D’Anna also shared an image of the ring he used for the proposal, and he stated: “This is only the beginning of a long relationship.”

His online pages are filled with beautiful photos of his fiancée as they explored new places and had fun together. While the couple always seemed to be smiling, many netizens thought their relationship was fake and for show. 

D’Anna’s comment section featured lots of hatred and doubt, with people questioning their bond and sharing their disapproval of the unusual love story. 

USERS THINK THE TEEN WANTS THE WOMAN’S MONEY 

Users formed their opinions and justifications regarding the relationship, and many believed D’Anna was with the older woman to gain fame. One netizen said: “Just pretending to get followers. A lot of people are doing this kind of stuff.” 

Other commenters purported that D’Anna hoped to inherit the woman’s money after the relationship. A user wrote: “[That’s] what money does. The world is so wrong.” Someone else added: “She’s most definitely rich.”

The speculations continued, with many people also stating that the duo looked related, but D’Anna was not bothered. Responding to one commenter, he simply noted: “My love is beautiful.”

D’Anna wasn’t the only party to face criticism. Many users condemned the woman and referred to her as a grandmother. The smiling in their videos was not enough for most netizens, but some people supported the couple.

Still, netizens are divided about the authenticity of their bond, with many highlighting that they always kiss on the cheek. Only time will reveal whether their relationship will last.
