“Dancing With the Stars” judges took to their social media to mourn one of their own, former Judge Len Goodman, who passed on peacefully at 78. The show’s former host Tom Bergeron also paid his last respect in a heartfelt tribute.

“Dancing With the Stars” veteran judge has died aged 78. His colleague Bergeron took to his Instagram page to mourn the former professional dancer and judge. Tom Bergeron shared a collage of photos showing different moments he and others shared with the departed and captioned: “A Good Man, indeed.”

According to his manager, Jackie Gill, Goodman passed away on Saturday in a hospice in Kent, southern England, surrounded by his family following a battle with bone cancer. He was born in 1944 in London.

He discovered his passion for dancing at 19 and decided to pursue it as a career. He was a well-recognized professional dancer before he ventured into Television. He became the head judge on the British dancing reality show “Strictly Come Dancing,” when the program premiered in 2004. He left the show in 2016 after serving for 12 years, leaving Shirley Ballas to take over.

Tom Bergeron worked with Len Goodman in “Dancing With the Stars” for a long time until his departure in 2019. He surprised his fans via a Twitter post by revealing he would not return as host on the show’s 29th season, noting that being on the show for 15 years was an unexpected gift of his career.

According to Entertainment Tonight, ABC and BBC Studios also released a joint statement confirming that Erin Andrews, Bergeron’s longtime co-host, would also be leaving the show. The two networks then thanked the former hosts for the time they worked together, expressing their sincere appreciation and gratitude for making the show a success.

Many of Tom Bergeron and Andrews fans, former contestants, and colleagues took to social media to appreciate their time on the show, with some still finding it difficult to accept their departure. The news shocked Bergeron’s fans, leaving many with unanswered questions, considering the fact that he had been hosting the show since its inception in June 2005.
