Micah Richards hilariously leaves Jamie Carragher feeling 'SICK' after breaking the news that Liverpool had fallen behind at home to Luton - but Reds legend has the last laugh!

Micah Richards gleefully broke the news to Jamie Carragher that Liverpool had fallen behind against Luton in a crucial match in the Premier League title race.

Richards, working as part of CBS Sports’ Champions League coverage on Wednesday, heard the news that Chiedozie Ogbene had scored the opener on air.

Just moments later, the former Manchester City man interrupted the studio debate before cheekily rounding on Carragher and telling him the scoreline while grinning.

Allowing himself a second to digest the news, a deflated Carragher replied: ‘Is it?’

The punditry team, also consisting of Kate Abdo and Thierry Henry, burst out into laughter while the camera panned to Carragher, who stood with a smirk on his face.

‘I feel sick,’ Carragher said, triggering Henry to double over while giggling.

After taking time to compose themselves, the team then pressed on with the show.

But later in the broadcast, Richards looked to toy with Carragher and even fed him an incorrect scoreline, joking that Luton had pulled level at 2-2 before backtracking.

Jurgen Klopp had furiously gestured at the Anfield crowd in an apparent attempt to tell them to tone down their negativity after their side’s first-half setback.

Ogbene was on hand to smartly finish off his third top-flight goal of the season after Liverpool’s stand-in goalkeeper, Caoimhim Kelleher, beat away Tahith Chong’s effort.

But in the space of just two minutes after the restart, Virgil van Dijk crashed in a header from a corner and Cody Gakpo nodded home to complete the turnaround.

There was even time for Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott to net the third and fourth goals.

The Reds had began the night one point clear of Manchester City and two points ahead of Arsenal, with the three-way tussle likely to last for the rest of the season.

Their crucial victory, however, secured them a four-point lead at the top.

And with Liverpool looking to win the league title before Klopp steps away later this year, Carragher’s mood would have lifted immeasurably come the final whistle.

‘I feel a lot better now,’ he tweeted while tagging Richards.
