Addison Rae might not have attended the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, but her mother, Sheri Easterling, was front and center alongside her date, Yung Gravy. Rae’s dad, Monty Lopez, has since taken to Instagram to trash his ex-wife and her new beau. “Thank you @younggravy for taking the leftovers,” Lopez wrote on his Instagram Story (via E! News). “I would rather spend time with my daughter and 2 grandkids that Sheri Nicole made me abandon as a child in order to be with her!” Lopez then claimed that Easterling disrupted his relationship with one of his children, suggesting that he was one forced to choose between his wife and his “blood child.”
Despite Lopez’s recent criticism of his ex-wife, it appears Easterling and Gravy enjoyed their time together at the annual award ceremony. “She’s like a Southern belle, and I’m a Northern boy, so it felt really cute and wholesome,” Gravy told Page Six while on the red carpet. “[I’m] into MILFs, and she’s kinda the queen of MILFs.”
Rae was not present at the August 28 event, and has yet to explicitly comment on the messy debacle surrounding her parents.
