Aldi shoppers have been left surprised by the supermarket’s latest Specialbuy bargain with many saying the item is usually found in Anne Summers.
The newest addition to the budget supermarket’s Wellness range comes in the form of a massage candle – and shoppers have gone mad with many comparing it to a £46 luxury one from popular brand Neom.
Aldi’s Specialbuys UK Instagram account shared a video of the new Hotel Collection Massage Candle, which melts into sensual oils.

The account wrote: “Spa days everyday. Grab our Massage Candle in store Thursday so you can enjoy a little bit of luxury whenever you like! Tag someone who would love this below #AisleofAldi #ILoveAldi #massagecandle #candle.”
The reel has been viewed over 185,000 times, racking up 2,789 likes and 216 comments, with Aldi fans saying the candle is “exactly like Neom”.
Nicolecrookes said, “ooooh a Neom dupe,” while Dramymurray wrote, “Exactly like the Neom!!” Elemayrobinson commented: “Wwwwhhhhhhhaaaaatttttttt is this sorcery?!?”
However, some shoppers minds went elsewhere with many comparing the new product to a similar Anne Summers massage candle.
@cazmclean cheekily tagged her partner alongside “Valentines night” with a series of tongue emojis. Hanna Ward quipped: “Well Aldi I didn’t expect this, I’ll have to pop in.” To which Aldi responded: “We are full of surprises, Hannah.”
Jo Davies agreed: “This is not what you expect in the middle aisle” alongside a string of embarrassed face emojis, Aldi’s marketing team responded with: “Never know what you might find in the middle aisle.”
@MagsIR penned: “Didn’t realise what it was when I saw it today haha”, Aldi replied: “Another trip back to get one then?” alongside a laughing face emoji. “You can get those in Ann Summers lol” pointed out Marie Finch.
