Alicia Witt Is Not Married Once Denied Rumors She Had a Husband

Since debuting in Hollywood, Alicia Witt has guarded her privacy regarding her family and love life. Yet, the internet has been creative in romantically linking and even marrying her off to unknown men a few times.

Alicia Witt has been careful to guard her love life, and while it has been misconstrued at times, she didn’t stand for it being misrepresented. Over the years, the actress has come across sites claiming she was married to wealthy men and even had children with one of them.

Witt also found outlets claiming she was romantically involved with men she had never met. With each fabrication, she has responded to clear the air and even asked for fans’ aid in taking the relevant gossip sites down.

However, despite the unfounded rumors, Witt does have a confirmed former lover, Nathan Foulger. The pair dated in the early 2000s but sadly separated. Witt was also linked to her “Cybill” co-star Peter Krause, but their relationship timeline remains unknown.

Alicia Witt Slammed Claims She Was Married with Kids

In 2013, a site called “whosdatedwho” claimed Witt was married. Not only did she reportedly have a husband, but she had also previously dated a man named Eric Clapton. The rumors caused speculation among the “Fun” star’s fans, who also wondered about her relationship status.

Witt cleared the air in a Facebook post, telling her followers of her unsuccessful efforts to rectify the situation. She denied dating Clapton, saying she had never met him but confirmed her former romance with Nathan Foulger, which lasted between 2001 and 2005. She also denied having a husband.

According to Witt’s post, she repeatedly tried to change the information on the website but was unsuccessful. She also tried to use the feedback feature on Google to alert the search engine of false information, but she still had no luck. Witt then sought the aid of her followers, suggesting:

“I was just thinking that if enough of you submitted feedback on google that it was wrong, and maybe even posted the same on whosdatedwho.com, maybe we could get it removed, because it’s just plain silly!”

In 2018, a similar rumor arose, and Witt didn’t know until her mom brought it to her attention. This one claimed she married an investment banker and had two kids named Luke and Emma Grace. Moreover, she was apparently worth $50 million. Witt then said:

“Gotta give em an A for creativity anyway… [raised eyebrow emoji].”

After reading the source, Witt’s followers joined the conversation and joked about the inconsistency in the reports. One Twitter user pointed out that the source claimed a fellow named Michael Badger was her first husband.

They shared a screenshot of their Google search, and from the plethora of Michael Badgers that showed up, they asked Witt which Badger had been her husband. Another user asked about how she navigated her career and family life with the faux husband, saying:

“Do you take your kids and husband on your music tours? Or do they stay home and guard the money? [blushing emoji]”

Alicia Witt Was Also Linked to Singer-Songwriter Ben Folds

Folds and Witt reportedly dated, as was revealed in 2012, after Folds’ fourth divorce. The pair shared interests in music and acting and even worked on some songs together. During a 2012 interview, Folds gushed about Witt’s musical abilities as he said:

“She’s a fantastic musician. I say this all the time and she cringes but she’s a better piano player than I am.”

He also praised her songwriting prowess, wishing he was just as “great.” At the time, Folds and Witt had already recorded a song, and Folds hoped it would grow into an album. Witt also helped Folds with a walk-on role on “We’re The Millers” alongside Jennifer Aniston and herself. The alleged former couple separated in 2014.

Last year in December, Alicia Witt and her brother, Ian, tragically lost their parents, Robert and Diane. She learned of their strange passing after asking her cousin in Worcester, Massachusetts, to check on them as she hadn’t heard from the two in days.

Like his sister, Ian was once affiliated with Hollywood. The siblings appeared together in the 1999 film “Liebestraum,” and although their parents encouraged them to pursue artistic careers, Ian withdrew from the Hollywood scene and has lived privately since.
