Amanda Martin Is an Aunt of 3 Kids; One of Them Had a Brain Tumor

In 2017, Amanda and Joe announced that their nephew, Luke, had been diagnosed with an Anaplastic Ependymoma grade 3 brain tumor, known for its “very aggressive nature.” Luke had already undergone three brain surgeries but needed further treatment that the insurance wouldn’t cover.

The last update on Luke’s Gofundme, in September 2017, said he was undergoing radiation and doing great. Amanda, known as “Aunt D” by her nephews, has since been passionate about childhood cancer research and often promotes fundraisers for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
