Four Australians are feared to have been poisoned by cocktails at a resort in Fiji.
According to local media reports, Sigatoka Hospital received seven individuals on Saturday night. Two of them were in critical condition and had to be transferred to Lautoka Hospital.
The seven people were aged from 18 to 56 and had nausea, vomiting, and neurological symptoms after consuming a cocktail, Mai TV said.
The ABC says the Australians impacted are four women, aged 56, 49, 19 and 18.
The 56-year-old was under constant surveillance in hospital, the public broadcaster said, while the 49-year-old and 18-year-old were critical but last night not as serious.
The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said it was “providing consular assistance to two Australian families in Fiji”.
