Great British Bake Off viewers are convinced that Josh deserved to be Star Baker this week – at the same time two bakers had to say goodbye to the famous tent.
During tonight’s episode of the hit Channel 4 show the bakers had to take on Pastry Week. The bakers had to make Picnic Pies, while the Technical challenge tasked them with creating a Classic French rough pastry pie.
For the showstopper they had to make sweet pies, constructed from three separate pies and made from a rich pastry with different fillings.
During the task, Rowan failed to lift his Absolutely Fabulous inspired pie out of the tray and Prue said his one pie was “to sloppy.”
Josh impressed not only the judges but viewers at home with his sunflower-themed creation as he admitted how proud he was of himself.
In the end Cristy received a Hollywood handshake from Paul and she received the title of Star Baker. Despite everyone’s best efforts Leeds Rowan and Nicky were eliminated.
The double exit came after a Chocolate Week twist last week. Tasha was unable to compete in the Showstopper challenge after falling ill so judges decided to send no one home but that meant two bakers would leave this week.

Viewers watching at home insisted that Josh deserved to be star baker as they claimed that judge Paul appeared to have an issue with Josh and Rowan.
