Strictly Come Dancing’s Annabel Croft was left in floods of tears after being eliminated from the BBC dance contest on Sunday just days ahead of the grand final.

The tennis ace was dancing on Strictly in honour of her late husband Mel Coleman, who died suddenly earlier this year just weeks after being diagnosed with a stomach issue.

But Annabel did justice to her husband’s memory according to Johannes Radebe who was gushing in his praise for the once novice dancer who went all the way to fourth place in the contest, losing out to Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell in Sunday’s semi-final dance-off.

Annabel Croft was reduced to tears after her pro dance partner Johannes’ kind words on Monday night as the pair spoke to Fleur East on spinoff It Takes Two.

Fleur East said: “You clearly have a beautiful bond. What are you gonna miss the most about Annabel?”

Johannes told Annabel: “Ah… everything.

“When I say everything Fleur, it’s your smile, every day when you walked into that studio, and how eager you were to dance.

“It was hard watching that back because it was such a rollercoaster emotionally.

“We laughed a lot hysterically and we cried a lot and it was such an emotional journey together.

“So it has been the most extraordinary journey and you are quite the extraordinary teacher.

@rozlaws said: “Stop making me cry AGAIN!”
