Beverly D’Angelo raised her twins away from the spotlight. However, she shared previously unseen snaps of her kids, who she welcomed at 49. The actress also got candid about her high-profile relationship with Al Pacino, which started 27 years ago and ended in 2004.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, D’Angelo detailed how they met in 1996 while on the same flight. “And by the time the plane landed, it was on,” she said.

Initially allocated a seat behind Al Pacino on her flight from Los Angeles to New York in 1996, he invited her to sit next to him. By the following year, their commitment to each other became evident, as she continued:

“In 1997, he looked me in the eye and said, ‘I want you to be the mother of my children,’ and although I’d avoided that role my whole life, I was deeply in love, and I was 100 percent in.”

D’Angelo’s post also featured a picture slideshow of her children as babies before discussing the “complicated” split finalized in 2004. D’Angelo credited their love for their children as the key to resolving conflicts and living as a family despite the breakup.

The video also featured more photos of the co-parents celebrating special holidays, the family of four on the beach, and a short clip of D’Angelo presenting the actor with a cake.

She concluded that they eventually mended broken fences and built a “unique and profound friendship” over the years.

In an interview, D’Angelo cited acceptance as the key to reconciling with Pacino. She said:

“You have to accept differences and all the things that led to a breakup in a way that allows you to move forward. And out of my support system and people I know and love, I’ve created the ideal partner.”

While the former couple remains high-profile celebrities in Hollywood, their children live relatively far from the spotlight.

On a few occasions, the twins appeared on red carpet events alongside their parents. In 2020, they arrived with their father at the 92nd Annual Academy Awards. They also posed with their mom on the “Violent Nights” premiere in 2022.

Though Anton held no social media accounts, D’Angelo encouraged fans to follow Olivia and her niece, Courtney, on Instagram.
