Officer Gallagher recounted his interaction with the traveler during an interview with “News 12 New Jersey” recently, sharing he heard about a woman asking for help in the general area while at the station.
Afterward, he walked her up to her, asking her how he could be of assistance. That was when Gallagher realized that the woman in question was blind.

He reached out by extending his arm, and she grabbed it. Gallagher divulged the woman was not even aware that he was a police officer at first. Right then, the traveler told him she needed to get some food and coffee because she was feeling lightheaded, and that was when Gallagher took action.
On their way to get some food, the unnamed woman revealed that the last time she sought help, no one was able to help her get the police involved. However, Gallagher told her that her situation did not necessarily require police attention.
